Plagiarism
According to the Prentice Hall Reference Guide there are four main reasons why avoiding plagiarism is important. First plagiarism is unethical and can be seen as stealing. second plagiarism creates a lost learning experience. Third plagiarism reduces credibility, and fourth plagiarism can result in serious penalties. (Prentice Hall Reference Guide 68a)
