MLA and Plagiarism
1. MLA allows readers to cross-reference your sources easily, provides consistent format within a discipline, gives you credibility as a writer, and protects yourself from Plagiarism.
2. Using consistent format helps your reader understand your arguments and the sources they're built on. It also helps you keep track of your sources as you build arguments.
3. Plagiarism would result in failure of the assignment or expulsion from school.
4. You can find the answers on how to properly cite in MLA format in the Prentiss Hall Reference guide, composition textbooks. You can also find them on these websites: www.mla.org. or, Owl Purdue website.
5. A works cited page gives the reader a complete list of every source that you make reference to in your essay. It also provides the information necessary for a reader to locate and retrieve any sources cited in your essay.
