Plagiarism- Thien Tran

Four reasons to avoid plagiarism are because plagiarism is unethical, means a lost learning opportunities, diminishes the credibility, and may result in serious penalties. First, if some information is used without citing the source, it is considered an act of stealing. Second, a research project is a opportunity to increase research skills and the source can be helpful for others to find if it is cited. Third,  to convince and write a credible research paper, the writer must cite sources in the paper. The last thing is that plagiarism is considered a violation of academic honesty and copy right, and it can impact detrimentally one's occupation (Prentice Hall Reference Guide 378-379).
