Hello everyone, my name is Victoria Hyde. I am nineteen years old. I am currently going to school to become a Special Education teacher. I have always had a special place in my heart for special needs children. I grew up in the small town of Clever and graduated as a 13 year senior.
When I was in high school I competed in many FBLA competitions earning first in my district, and advancing to state three years in a row.
Another big part of my life is music. I started learning to play percussion (drums) when I was in fifth grade. I instantly loved playing music and went on to be lead snare my Sophomore year, and drum major my Junior and Senior year for the Clever Blue Jay Marching Band. I also had the opportunity to travel to Orlando, Florida and march in a Disney parade. If I could go back and do it all over again, I would! My band instructor and peers are still a big part of my life to this day. I just recently started learning to play guitar too.
I have the most loving family, boyfriend (in the picture above), and a adorable dog named Oscar. You could say that my family and I spoil him a little too much. You will never see him without a sweater on! I am a big family person. You won't find any bigger Chiefs fans than my family. Every Sunday we get together to watch the Chiefs play, hang out, and just enjoy each other's company. My Mom and Aunt are twins and are also two of my best friends. They both have always been there for me through everything. I am blessed with great people in my life.
Honestly, I have tried almost every hobby there is. I enjoy doing new things all the time. I just recently learned to crochet and just got a sewing machine for Christmas. I will try almost anything there is to try. I also love being outdoors. I love camping, fishing, and going out to shoot some guns. One of my favorite things to do is to ride roller coasters. The best one I have ever ridden was New York, New York in Las Vegas. Overall I am open to anything and am always looking for new adventures.
I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you!

Its great to have so many interests,! and your dog is absolutely adorable.
ReplyDeleteIts truly amazing that you care so much for special needs kids. I have a five year old son who has Autism and there just aren't enough teachers in the world.
ReplyDeleteSpecial Ed teacher, I've heard it's very frustrating at times, but also very rewarding. Also, you're dog is adorable!
ReplyDeleteHave you ever tried riding an alpine slide? I worked at one this summer in Colorado; it's a half-mile slide made of concrete and fiberglass that twists and turns down the side of a mountain at a ski resort, and one had to ride it on a wheeled 25lb plastic sled. Great fun.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that you got to march in the Disney parade is amazing! I would have loved that so much.
ReplyDeleteYour dog is adorable. Good luck with the goals in which you have set out for yourself. My cousin teaches special education and he loves it.
ReplyDeleteI have tried AK46 before, guns didn't cool as I thought.
ReplyDeleteI thought the New York, New York roller coaster was fun but way to short for the money you had to spend for the ticket.
ReplyDeleteI love to be outdoors. I also like to fish but I won't eat it. I think it is really cool how you spend every Sunday with your family!
